ESSAYS / DRAFT

The problem isn’t another calendar

Why a useful interface depends on reliable information underneath it.

Start underneath the interface

This is a proposed essay outline. The argument is still developing.

A calendar can only be as useful as the information it contains. Another interface does not automatically solve the work of finding, reconciling and maintaining that information.

Where the question began

Salt & Green made the work visible. A person deciding whether to attend needs more than an event title. Date, time, location, cost, host, link and useful context all matter.

The question to explore

What would shared infrastructure need to do before those details could be reused with confidence across different calendars and publishing systems?
